According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, ammonia exports from Ukraine in the first half of 2018 was 39,900 tons in the amount of $9.4 million, and imports was 215,900 tons in the amount of $65.5 million. Turkey was a major buyer. The value of the goods shipped to this country amounted $4.5 million. Almost all goods were imported from Russia.
Nitrogen fertilizers exports was $60.2 million in the quantity of 314,100 tons, and imports was $163.9 million in the quantity of 778,300 tons. As in the case of ammonia, Turkey was the leading buyer. The value of shipped goods was $23.3 million. The main supplier remains Russia, where the goods in the amount of $33.4 million were purchased.
About 20,000 tons for $3.6 million of phosphatic fertilizers were imported. About 91% were delivered from Poland.
Just 692 tons of potassium fertilizers for $171,000 was exported from Ukraine. Import amounted to 25,800 tons in the amount of $7.1 million. The main buyer was Lithuania, the seller – Belarus, which supplied fertilizers in the amount of $4.3 million.
Fertilizers containing two or three elements (NPK) were exported in the amount of $2.5 million in the quantity of 2,800 tons. Import was 894,400 tons in the amount of $308 million. Moldova was a main buyer. Russia shipped fertilizers to Ukraine for $142.5 million.
