The largest retail sales network of mineral fertilizers will be established in Ukraine in May

The unconditional leader in mineral fertilizers distribution will be established in Ukraine. It has been revealed to Infoindustry, the new legal entity will be created as a result of the merger of the two largest networks, one of which is UkrAgroNPK, the part of Group DF (Dmitry Firtash).

The second participant of the merger still prefers not to disclose or comment this information, but according to Infoindustry the company had the largest wholesale turnover of fertilizers and the most branched network in 2015-2017, which includes more than 30 warehouses. The owner of this company will head the new structure.

The new super-network will include more than 70 warehouses located practically in all regions of Ukraine. Its task will consist in the accumulation and inter-season storage of mineral fertilizers of Ukrainian production, as well as in retail trade with the whole range of mineral fertilizers. The company also aims to increase the presence of Ukrainian products in the domestic market.

On Friday, May 4 and on Saturday, May 5, managers’ meetings were held in the regional offices of UkrAgroNPK, where the company’s staff was informed of the forthcoming merger and possible staff reduction.

It is still unknown which form of integration of the two companies will be chosen, however, the basic principles and specificity are absolutely clear. There is no official press release on the merger of the two companies, and neither of the parties provides a detailed official comment.

Last week, Sergey Vetokhin left the position of Director of NF Trading Ukraine. Therefore, we can assume that the functions of the wholesale trade in mineral fertilizers of OSTCHEM will pass to a new structure.
