Rape sowing areas in Ukraine increased 12 times

The sowing area of ​​rapeseed in Ukraine has increased 12 times over the past 30 years.  In 1990, the area of ​​rapeseed in Ukraine was 89.6 thousand hectares.  For the 2020 harvest, farmers sowed 1,115.2 thousand hectares of rapeseed.

 

Recall that in 2000, the area of ​​rapeseed in Ukraine occupied 156.7 thousand hectares, in 2010 — 862.5 thousand hectares.

 

The profitability of rapeseed production in 2019 amounted to 9.4% against 31.1% in 2018 and against 43.6% in 2017 (45% in 2016).  Agricultural enterprises as of July 23 harvested 1.2 million tons of rapeseed from an area of ​​623 thousand hectares (55%).

 

In 2019, farmers harvested 3.3 million tons of rapeseed.  Later, in 2018, farmers harvested 2.747 million tons of rapeseed against 2.195 million tons in 2017.
